Aberdeen Football Club is truly remarkable. This Scottish professional football club, based in the city of Aberdeen, competes in the Scottish Premiership and has an impressive record of never being relegated from the top division of the Scottish football league system since their election to the top flight in 1905. That is quite an achievement! With four Scottish league titles, eight Scottish Cups, and six Scottish League Cups under their belt, Aberdeen FC stands out as the ONLY Scottish team to have won two European trophies. Their club badge proudly features two stars, symbolizing their victories in the European Cup Winners' Cup and the European Super Cup in 1983.
Under the legendary football manager Alex Ferguson, Aberdeen secured three league titles, four Scottish Cups, and a Scottish League Cup, along with those two European trophies. They were the last club outside the Old Firm to win a league title and also the last Scottish team to secure a European trophy. Recently, this exceptional team triumphed over Celtic to win the 2024–25 Scottish Cup.
